Hello beauties! My name is Jessie from La Jolie Folie. Today I'm writing a guest post for Nay Denise on makeup for glasses.

As a glasses wearer, sometimes I can get discouraged with coming up with makeup looks to wear under my glasses. I have been researching and doing my own experimenting to come up with new looks I can wear with my frames.
One thing I noticed is that the lenses, on your glasses, can distort the actual size of your eye, and the eye area is partly hidden by your frames, so it's important to bring back the attention to your beautiful eyes. I do this by using shimmer eyeshadows, light concealer under my eyes, and color! I find it's much easier to pull off bright colors when wearing glasses because the frames take away from the initial distraction.
I put together this look which is great for summer and really enhances the eyes hidden by the shadows of glasses frames. I used primarily the Stila palette in Haute in the Hamptons, which has a great sparkly gold shade, shimmery cream highlight, muted cool brown, and a gorgeous ocean blue. It also has two blusher shades that work together to brighten up the face and bring balance to all of the facial features when glasses can act as a distraction. I then used a nice peachy coral shade on the lips to bring all the colors into a perfect harmony.
All products used:
  • Revlon Colorstay foundation in Nude
  • Palladio Rice Powder in Natural
  • NYX Concealer in a Jar in Fair
  • Ulta Bronzer
  • Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen
  • NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Brown/Dark Brown
  • Stila Collectible Beach Palette in Haute in the Hamptons (Linen on the lid, Route 27 in the crease and outer corner, Sand as a highlight under the brown and in the inner corner, and Blue Skies along the lower lash line; Hydrangea on the apples of my cheeks, Montauk Highway as a contour shade)
  • Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in Dark Chocolate (tight line)
  • Ulta Automatic Eyeliner in Teal Blue (on the waterline)
  • L'Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in Tropical Coral
I hope you enjoyed this look!
