Makeup Storage & Collection

Hello my loves,

Today I am showing you all my makeup storage and collection. It has taken me some time to actually do this post because my storage was not the best for a long time. I mean I was storing my makeup in two old train cases from Yazmo and Caboodles, before that in clear plastic tubes. It was bad -- but thanks to my local Bargain Hunters I got my hands on a awesome storage cabinet and plan to get a few more to store my professional makeup, hair products and possibly some shoes too...who knows.
I did record an actual video for my YouTube channel because this would end up being a post overloaded with pictures. In the video, I try to show all of my makeup as "detailed" as possible without making it an extremely long video...I personally don't like recording 20 minute videos, just way to long for my liking. I did buy a few piece to include in the cabinet to help the storage of products seem a bit more better and organized. All the trays were purchased for under $2 a piece and really give me a little more room to expand.

As you can see this cabinet stores all of my personal makeup. It does limit my choice of purchasing more makeup -- however I'm  sure with more storage tools inside I can expand that. Also one thing to mention -- the cabinet came in pieces and needed to be built.

On to the specs of the cabinet and how I feel about it as well...

MY THOUGHTS
After purchasing and building this baby all in one day and then filling it to the brim with my personal makeup -- I am in love with it! I love how easy it was for me to build. The instructions weren't really instructions anyway, just letters corresponding to pictures and no words, so I'm glad it didn't take forever to build. I was shocked at how easy it was to push it around after I filled up my makeup allowing me to move it where I need to for better access and lighting.

I love that it's not too tall or too wide and fits nicely in my room. The shelves are very sturdy and hold up tons of makeup. I like that even though it has enough space that I can add more storage systems inside like bins, buckets, file holders and possibly an acrlyic drawer to give myself more space. I love the pink and white theme which will go great with my room once I move and what not!! It's so easy to just wipe down with a paper towel if there are any spills. Stickers and tape remove easily without chipping the paint.

I mean, overall, this cabinet was definitely a great investment. The fact it also comes in a 3 door and 6 door set also makes me happy, but I think the 5 door cabinet is a safer bet because it's not too small or too big -- it fits just right and doesn't take up too much room. This was a great purchase and seems to be an even better storage system for me. Will I purchase more? Most definitely when needed!

How do you store your makeup?

  1. Cute storage space you have. My makeup is either on my makeup table, in a box in a dresser next to my bed, or in the first drawer in a large set of storage drawers I purchased recently.

    1. Thanks! I used to store mine like that, but now that my sister is into beauty and with a baby on the way I figured I'd make some space for my cosmetic products and get more organized.
