Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream

Face Time!

Here's yet another skincare fav of mine. Yes, I've been on a roll with these skincare products. I just have so many that I want to share and knockout. This skincare product is a moisturizer that I recently (about 2 months ago) found and have fallen in love with to the max!

This is the Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream. Love, love, loveee it!

About the Product
Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream locks in moisture and blocks-out dryness using a formula with a unique combination of a pure antioxidant fruit water extract and skin conditioning vitamin E. It helps replenish skin's moisture reserves and fights off dryness. Its ultra lightweight, oil-free, refreshing gel-cream formula instantly penetrates for long-lasting moisture and boosts skin's defenses as it holds moisture for 24 hours.

Grape Water Extract: antioxidant power defends skin from external aggressors
Vitamin E: soothes and conditions skin

Water, Glycerin, Alcohol Denatured, Dimethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Carbomer, Dimethiconol, Chlorphenesin, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tocopherol Acetate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Methoxypropanediol, Magnesium Gluconate, Sodium Citrate, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Calcium Gluconate, Biosaccharide Gum 1, Hydroxyisohexyl 3 Cyclohexene Carboxalde, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol

How To Use
Gently apply Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream every morning and night to face. This lightweight, oil-free formula instantly penetrates. Skin instantly looks and feels supple and smooth. Stays hydrated for 24 hours. In 1 hour, skin's moisture barrier is strengthened to prevent dryness. With regular use, continuously moisturized, skin is strengthened and looks healthier.

The formula for this has a fresh, floral scent which smells amazing. The gel comes in a heavy glass jar and is a pale shade of green. The formula contains grape water extract and Vitamin E. The consistency of the product is obviously, as per its name, a gel formula. Gel formulas are great as they absorb quickly upon contact with skin and feel so soothing and hydrating. They absorb much like water and leave skin super dewy and hydrated.

The formula is oil free so you aren't left feeling greasy after use nor does it feel like you have a heavier cream on your face. Facial moisturizers are tricky and they do occasionally feel like they are laying above the surface of your skin rather than absorbing fully which is why gel’s are so much more user friendly. You may not find this as a cure all for dryness however it does work as a fabulous prep for makeup and feels incredible on your skin due to it’s super fast absorption.

If you're sensitive to smell or have excessive dry skin than this may not be the product for you. They have a new formula specifically for dry skin -- you may need to buy that one.

Price wise it’s very affordable at $7.99 USD for a 1.7 oz jar but in many cases you’ll find it on sale at local drugstores, Target Etc… I got mine from the dollar store here in NJ for $5 USD.

Here's a look at my skin with and without the moisturizer on:
Skin looks moisturized with the gel-cream on and it looks dry without it on. Skin with it on feels smooth and powdery and not dry and rough.

What do you think of the Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream?

  1. Wow I really see a difference. This sounds like an amazing product, something I am going to look into. Thanks so much for sharing!

    1. It is truly amazing! I spotted the dry skin version today and plan to pick it up next weekend to test it out as well.

      You're welcome!

  2. I've been looking into new better for my skin moisturizers. Maybe I'll pick this up the next time there's a really good drugstore sale on garnier products!

PS found your blog from the bloglovetherapy blog hop.

    1. Yes, it's truly amazing on the skin. It really keeps my skin hydrated 24/7

  3. Hey! I just bought this product a week ago and started using it. I love the product, but I have a concern with the alcohol in the ingredients. I heard from many people that alcohol is bad for the skin, because it dries out the skin and it has bad long-term effects.I just started using a moisturizer and exfoliator, after years of using nothing but proactive when I had bad acne (which was like 4 years ago). I have never used a skin product on my sensitive skin for 4 years, because I was afraid of breaking out. I had tried to use few, but always ended up getting acne. I have mild acne right now.Is this safe for my sensitive and acne prone skin?

    1. I personally have told others with sensitive skin to try it out and I haven't heard anything about their skin breaking out from it. I would say try it at your own risk as sensitive skin can be a bit tricky.

I personally think proactive is a scam because after use some people break out and have to keep rebuying proactive.

Alcohol in skin care products is a sea-saw as most skincare products contain some type and percentage of alcohol in it when you read the ingredients.

Simply -- if you are using a product that works for you and it's not breaking you out I say stick with it, but if it's irritating your skin take out and try another moisturizer, but I do recommend that you keep using because it amazing beyond words!!!

Hope that helped you out :)

I read every single comment that everyone leaves. Please don't hesitate to leave one! I love hearing from you :)
