Tutorial | All That Glistens

Hello my loves!

Here is the third installment in my Lancome series. This look is using the shadow called All That Glistens. It's a satin taupe with a hint of purple. Very subtle, yet bold at the same time.

I thought this would be an awesome look paired with purple because that hint of purple definitely pops out more and makes it a natural look with color.

Tutorial | All That Brightens

Hello my loves!

Here's the second installment to my Lancome eyeshadow looks using the eyeshadow called All That Brightens. Its a gorgeous gold eyeshadow with a hint of pink undertones which makes it lean a bit more rose gold.

This eyeshadow is very soft and creamy and has specks of glitter in it as well. This would probably look amazing as a face highlight color as well!

Tutorial | All That Glitters

Today I'm sharing my first installment of a long planned series! This is a series based on all of my Lancome eyeshadows. I own a ton of them and they are all absolutely amazing and I feel the need to share them with you.

The first look is using a shadow called All That Glitters. It is very different from the one that MAC makes. This a silver with the slightest hint of green to it. Very beautiful for a smoky eye that's not too dark.

I paired this look with a silver holographic glitter to make it pop more. I will be using this eyeshadow in another tutorial without glitter soon.

Tutorial | Enchanted Evening

Hello my lovelies,

I know I normally post three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but due to the news I've shared with you all (click here to find out), I find that posting twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays is better for me and allows me to really get some ideas in order, post in tact and good content to you all or at least I think so.

Lately, I've been going through my makeup collection and I noticed that I have a lot of Lancome palettes that I have never used and I really want to start getting use out of them since I got them. Why waste makeup? The first palette I pulled out to try is a Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Quad called Enchanted Evening, hence the tutorial title. Corny, but I currently have pregnancy brain unfortunately...blah.

These quads cost $43 USD at your nearest Lancome counter. I'm not sure if they have changed the name of this palette, it's discontinued or if it was limited edition because I cannot find it on their website. You can see the other quads here on the site. I got most of my palettes when I freelanced for Lancome last year.

The palette is simply amazing. It contains four shades that either have a sheen or shimmer finish to them. There is a gorgeous vanilla shade that can be applied to the brow bone and inner tear duct for a hint of light. There is a gorgeous shimmery coral-cream shade, which I applied on two thirds of my lids. It looks absolutely stunning when the light reflects off of it. There is a brown with gold reflects that is more of sheen finish and it looks stunning as a transition color or as an outer v color. The last shade is a dark brown with a bit golden-coral reflects in that sort of look green in light. This is great for smoking out your looking for a more evening time event or just giving it more depth.

This look can be worn during the day or night depending on how you want to rock the look. You can smoke it out more or lighten it up if need be. I paired this look with neutral lip and cheeks, but of course for that pop of color you can go with a red, oxblood, pink or orange on the lips and possibly a burgundy, rose or coral on the cheeks. It all depends on your style of makeup, what you're wearing, how you're feeling and of course the location or event that you're going to.

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector.

What is Visionnaire?

According to Lancome, the Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector is an anti aging skin treatment and is proven to be more resilient. It is specifically designed to propel inside the skin’s layers and prepares the skin for the repairing process. The product claims to remove every sign of wrinkles and reduce all the redness and puffiness from the eye within four weeks of use. The Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector is formulated with LR2412, a unique molecule that has been researched for twelve years. It suits any skin type and is non comedogenic and non acnegenic.

Pricing and Size?

Even though this product is amazing, I am not too fond of the pricing for it. I have two bottles of the 1.7 fl oz of Visionnaire. The pricing is as follows:

• 0.67 fl oz - $67
• 1 fl oz - $87
• 1.7 fl oz - $105
• 3.4 fl oz - $150

Can you say expensive as hell -- pricing doesn't match with the size, but besides the name the product itself is AMAZING!

How to use it?

Review | Lancome Génifique

Today's review is on a product that I've been loving for about two months now -- Lancome Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate Serum -- one of the best skincare serums I've ever come across! I have gotten the chance to use it both day and night and really see it work on me and see a difference.

I have a 1.7 fl oz bottle which is simply magnificent!

Now let's get into some basics before I share my thoughts on it...

What Lancome says:

What is it? What does it do?

Lancome Génifique Youth Activating Serum is supposed to boost the activity of your genes so that the skin looks and feels younger. The 2 biotech active ingredients are Bio Lysat (stimulates gene's expression of the identified youth protein) and Phytosphingosine (re-establishes protein synthesis and promotes the development of higher quality and more beautiful skin). The main objective is to activate the youth genes in your skin and help it to work more like it use to at cell turn-over and making collagen. 

In short: it helps to illuminate your skin from the inside-out and makes your face feel smoother and look younger.

How to use it?

Do your morning and night time regimen as usual. Cleanse, exfoliate, mask and tone. Prior to moisturizing your skin, apply a pump full into your hands and massage it into your skin -- avoid the eye area. After massaging it in, pat around your face to ensure that it can truly do what it says. Afterwards, apply your eye cream and moisturizer as usual.
