Review | Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask

Today's post is a review on a phenomenal clay mask. I was given the opportunity to review another product from Valentia skincare. They were kind enough to send me this product for free, so I definitely want to say thank Valentia for that. Valentia is a company that is cruelty free, vegan friendly, uses 98% natural ingredients, made in the US and uses sustainable energy.

The company sent over the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask. I enjoy playing with different types of masks because they give me the chance to pamper myself. I always make sure to have at least one to two days of me time, which includes a pamper session for myself.

For $25 USD you get 4 fl oz which can last about 5 months if used once or twice a week. Valentia has stunning packaging with their white and gold box and simple font. I love how elegant it looks without being over done or overwhelming in look. The mask itself comes in a white Polypropylene container with a gray and gold foiled label.

The clay mask is a nude-gray color and smells absolutely stunning -- fruity and tart. I've used this mask 4 times to thoroughly form an opinion on how this product feels and performs.

Directions

Generously apply on face carefully avoiding the eye area. Leave on your skin for 15-20 minutes or until mask dries. Wipe it off with a damp cloth soaked in warm water. As the mask has natural fibers use circular motions to remove the mask helping to slough off dead skin and exfoliate.

This mask is absolutely phenomenal. The first thing I noticed was the smell. It smells very sweet and tart which I can only assume is the Hibiscus and Cranberry Fibers that are in the ingredients. When applying this mask I used a traditional foundation brush to do so and it applied smoothly and wasn't messy at all. I like this mask isn't too hard, gooey or soft like others, it's just the right formulation to make it easy to apply without the mess. It glides on the skin and feels phenomenal.

As this mask sits on the skin and begins to dry, I do get a a tingling sensation, which may irritate some people, but it didn't bother me at all. I'm guessing that comes from the CoQ10 since it helps to stimulate collagen production.

This mask, thankfully, doesn't get too hard and is not a hassle to remove !! I know some mask can dry really hard and then make your face extremely tight and crack when you move your face, but this doesn't. It does dry and you feel a slight tightening, but it isn't uncomfortable at all. Likewise, some can be hard to take off, but this one is extremely smooth to take off without any hassle.

There are tiny little beads in the mask, so I found that when remove the mask it sort of doubled as an exfoliator even though it doesn't claim to be, so that an awesome plus in my book. My face felt baby bottom soft after removing this mask. It felt clean, smooth and the smell didn't linger a bit so I was relaxed.
