Hopefully your week is going great so far. Me, I'm trying to keep a positive outlook on life despite my situation. Got to find a way to keep active until this is over. I'll be happy to go back to work soon.
This post is a fashion based post which is rare on my blog, but I figured since spring is near that I should start doing more fashion posts as I plan to be a bit more involved with fashion come this spring and summer. Now I have subscribed to a few of my favorite fashion magazines such as Vogue, W Magazine, Harper's Bazaar and Elle Magazine. While I was browsing my March issue of Elle and saw the spread Taylor Swift did. I'm not much of a fan, but lately I've been enjoying her music. Anyway her spread was absolutely amazing and I wanted to share it with you all.
If you plan to get your hands on the magazine, check out page 411 and pages 426-33. She definitely did look like a model and pulled each look off amazingly.
This first look I thought was completely punk rock. She was styled in Burberry Prorsum from head to toe. She wore a metallic leather and jersey bonded bomber jacket in multi-colored green ($3,595). A purple stretch satin bustier ($1,095) with black stretch twill pants ($1,095) and red satin peep toe wedges, $675. As expensive as this outfit is...it definitely speaks volumes.
This second look is more boho chic. Taylor is sporting a blush colored black beaded cape, black leather gloves, black hat ($995), and a black leather belt ($395). Black skinny jeans ($490), and black reptile toe pumps ($825). Everything she wore was from Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane. I must say, I love how the cape comes with a bow. The hat and cape just read bohemian style...especially with the pose and face Taylor is giving. Bravo!
This next look screams sophistication and elegance....it is just a completely poised look. It's vintage yet modern all at once. Draped in nothing but CĂ©line...all in ivory colored silk. A silk coat that's structured beautifully, silk top ($2,250) and smooth silk pants ($1,300). A complete look for that fashion editor, lawyer or just the diva that wants to be comfortable, yet fashionable.
Look number 4 screams retro, reminds me of the 60's to be exact. She is rocking one of my new growing fav designer/line. Completely styled in Proenza Schouler she whips the camera with a nice shot. She is wearing a printed double faced satin dress and a pair of silver chunky heeled platform sandals ($1,895) which resemble Proenza Schouler tambourine bags (did a previous post on them before).
Taylor's fifth look is definitely a sex appeal kind of look without revealing too much skin. I love how this outfit looks like a dress, but it isn't. She is wearing Chanel black lace gloves ($450), an Alexander McQueen black beekeeper headpiece ($1,995) with everything else being from Gucci. A blue silk ruffled top, silk pants ($950), blue patent leather boots ($795) and gold earrings. The lace gloves add so much sex appeal to this ensemble.
Her last outfit is just so girly, cute and majorly pink! This is just what I think of when I think about Taylor Swift. Styled in a pink latex flower embroidered caraco and pink silk faille shorts ($690) by the infamous Oscar de la Renta paired with a pink tank top ($28) by Calvin Klein Underwear. Makes me want to buy this entire outfit...but definitely at a cheaper price point!
Personally, I am loving these looks to death. They are truly giving me life. I might have to keep a close eye on Taylor Swift cause she is growing into a fierce young woman. Don't you agree?!
