How are you all doing! Today's post is going to be on my personal skin care regimen. I did a post a couple weeks back on building your own personal skin care regimen (here)...I figured I could share mine with you all.
Keep in mind, my day time routine isn't that involved as my night time routine which will be explained in the the night routine post.
Let's hop into it!
When I first wake up in the morning I brush my teeth and exfoliate my lips at night. I wash my hands afterwards to ensure that they are clean before touching my face.
Step #1: Cleanse
I use my Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Gentle Skin Cleanser to cleanse my face. I wet my face a bit with lukewarm water and then use about a nickle size amount of the cleanser. I work it into a slight lather and then massage it onto my face for at least 2-5 mins before rinsing it off. I pat my face dry with a towel making sure to leave a little water on my face so my skin can absorb it. I use a gentle cleanser in the morning because I do most of my deep cleansing at night.
Step #2: Tone
The toner of my choice is Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner. I apply a few drops to a cotton round -- currently using the Studio35Beauty Textured Cotton Rounds. I apply it all over my face for a fresh feeling and to close my pores.
Step #3: Serum
Going in with my Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, I apply unto my face and allow my skin to absorb it for 1-3 mins.
Step #4: Eye Cream
After the serum has fully absorbed into my skin, I go in with my eye cream of choice. Currently using Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel. Thankfully it comes with a pump, so I don't have to worry about dipping my hands into the jar. I apply about a dime size amount for each eye and gently pat onto my eye area.
Step #5: Moisturize
I have a ton of moisturizers, but the one I am currently using is Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream. I did a review on this moisturizer already which you can check out here. I really love this moisturizer because it can be used in the morning and night.
Step #6: Prime & Makeup Application
If I decide to wear makeup this day I go into priming my face and my makeup application. If not, I just end at step #5 and go on about my day.
Hope my regimen was helpful for any of you.
